Is your cacao ethically sourced? How do you make an informed choice? And why does it even matter? At Cacao Source, we advocate for transparency in the ceremonial cacao industry. By asking these critical questions, you can align your values with your purchasing decisions. Empower your cacao journey by asking the right questions. Your choice has the power to impact the lives of local communities, the environment, ecosystems, and collective well-being. Make sure to ask these questions to your Cacao Provider: 1. Are cacao farmers fairly paid? 2. How is your cacao processed? 3. Where does your money go? 4. What is their commitment to ethical sourcing and sustainability? Can they prove that? As for their Transparency Reports! 5. How do they ensure the quality and organic integrity of cacao? 6. What are their business model and hidden costs? 7. Where does the profit go? Comment "ethical" and we will share a link with you to access the full Toolkit to Ethical Cacao Sourcing!

Co-founder/Director of Cacao Source & Give Back to the Source NGO - Social Business Consultant - Speaker - Activist

After 1 year + of work in Guatemala, our Give Back Program is finally out! More than ever our farmers and the environment need our support. In the last months, I've spent more time than ever on cacao farms in rural Guatemala, and with farmers, we created spaces to express our needs. Regardless of being paid more than twice the fair-trade prices, the farmers are struggling. Our culture of consumerism has to evolve. With Give Back to the Source, we have been supporting the economic empowerment of indigenous women in rural Guatemala. We are currently working on a pilot project where bamboo and cacao meet. Creating more economic opportunities based on sustainable materials and involving women as part of the process. The Give Back Program allows us to plan a sustainable future, and create long-term planning and budgets. It is a way for consumers to give back to their farming communities and support the regeneration of our soils. I'm very happy to be a part of this project 🌱

Our Give Back Program is now out! 🌿 Donate monthly to Give Back to the Source 👩🌾 Support a sustainable future for farming communities of Guatemala 🌻 Build an eco-artisan center for indigenous women DONATE LINK: https://lnkd.in/etRqEnpJ Give Back to the Source is committed to supporting the rural farming communities of Guatemala. We work with diverse actors in the cacao field and regenerative movement. We are inclusive to all persons and projects that want to give back to the farming communities. We currently focus on regenerative farming, women’s financial empowerment, and poverty alleviation. We believe that the current market price of the food we consume does not offer fair value to farmers and therefore, businesses and individuals should take the initiative to support directly these communities. We offer complete transparency on the fund management of your donations for every project we accomplish. We work very hard to optimize every donation’s impact. Most of our administration are volunteers.

From a farmers heart to yours🌱💛 Giving a voice to our cacao farmers is ESSENTIAL at Cacao Source. Farmers work tirelessly to care for the land which nourishes our bodies. More than ever they are challenged by diseases, climate change and the lack of value from the world towards their work. Cheyo, farmer at Las Victorias from our SPRING origin, wants to speak up and has a message for everyone open in listening. Cheyo is caring for the land of his father. This land has high value because of its rich natural resources and water streams. The small family is given high offers on the land but they keep fighting to preserve the land. Most of the region is home to large-scale monoculture farms and Las Victorias is a small paradise in the middle of it all. When we started the interview with Cheyo, we started by asking him to introduce himself and where he is from.. here was his answer, he had a lot more to say... https://lnkd.in/ecabXeXx

Manager at Toniic, host of the Podcast Investing in Regenerative Agriculture and Food

💥 IT HAPPENED! After almost 7 years.... another voice on the podcast! For a Regenerative Mind special series I'm excited that Emma Chow accepted the mic and the host role of Investing in Regenerative Agriculture and Food. Responding to the question: ‘What is the #mindset that enables people to serve as regenerative #leaders for a radically better #foodsystem?’ It’s time to tap into the power of the mind to unlock our potential as change agents! Please take a cup of tea and enjoy the first conversation between Emma and Laurence Tremblay, social entrepreneur e co-founder of Cacao Source and Ecoducacion. Many fascinating key topics in this conversation: 🍫 how to design enterprises to realise #cacao’s unseen potential while weaving a new story for #chocolate, from a different set of values 🧑🏽🌾 regenerative farming and #indigenous communities 👩🏻🌾 empowering #women, personal responsibility and integrity in #food and ag industry.
